Sierra Leonean producer Thy Young, also known as Francis Tiffa Williams, dropped his fifth single ‘Cocoa (Coco)’ via Survival Records LLC on May 31, 2024. This track, praised by Music In Africa, precedes his upcoming album Scent of Amie, set to launch on June 14, 2024. Recognized as one of Sierra Leone’s top producers, Thy Young has worked with numerous artists, earning accolades such as Best Music Producer of the Year in the Sierra Leone National Entertainment Awards for 2020 and 2021. Notable for hits like ‘Champion’, his solo project under Thy Young promises continued success.
In ‘Cocoa (Coco)’, Thy Young presents an Afro-Pop dancehall tune characterized by a captivating introduction and inviting vocals. Through sensual guitars and lively percussion, he creates a vibrant atmosphere, blending spoken word elements to captivate both listeners and dancers alike.
