A sonic relief, NAVA’s latest EP NAFAS is a listening experience that touches on areas of her life and artistry under an exciting future pop lens. Released via Oyez!, and featuring 4 delightfully eclectic tracks, we got our first introduction to the EP with the jaw-dropping track ‘Gaz’. Each track is centered on a different atmosphere, but the initial core of authentic sounds shines through on this electronic-centered EP that adds extra fire and charisma with other international languages fused into it.
NAVA shared the deeper meaning of this latest EP: “NAFAS has been a journey. It took me back to my roots, it allowed me to experiment as freely as I wanted, going back to basics and yet finding a whole new world through the different languages I explored. Language is a huge influence on me and I’m so excited to have placed a spotlight on it in this EP.”
Born in Tehran, and currently based in Milan, the singer paves her own identity in the industry with free-form beats and an undeniably badass attitude that is all-consuming and evocative. Listening to these four tracks on repeat, one can draw inspiration from NAVA’s ability to shine a microscope on an array of topics and sound elements in one cohesive and polished work.
