Producer Jaime & vocalist Sherly, unveil ‘Ballerina’, the first offering from their luscious collaborative EP Couleurs due on 24th April.
Following on last year’s single ‘Faster Better Stronger’, a slice of alt-R&B which has drawn praise from Your EDM, Magnetic Magazine, EDM Joy, Relentless Beats and the first cut released by the duo, ‘Be There’, which hit #19 on Spotify’s Viral 50; the EP includes two unreleased tracks, the more organic sounding ‘Always’ and the empowering ‘Ballerina’.

Through the 4-track EP, the two artists combine their individual strengths to create a crossover of music genres; Jaime’s future-tinged, R&B-influenced production delivers a technically mature and expansive sound over which Sherly’s commanding nu-soul-inflected vocals carry the songs through awe-inspiring melodies.

Known for his forward-thinking production skills, switching between future bass, electronic and touches of hip hop and R&B, Jaime has worked as music director, producer and drummer for some of the biggest names in the German-speaking European markets, including R&B and hip hop artists Cassandra Steen – known for her collaboration with Ne-Yo – Bausa, Cro, Azet and Zuna. While rising vocalist and songwriter Sherly is heavily influenced by alternative R&B ballads and early 2000s aesthetics, encompassing elements of Nao, Ashanti, Amerie and Lianne La Havas.

Couleurs is the resulting sound of the powerful artistic pairing between two artists with their own strong individual approach meeting to create a must-hear collaboration.
