Paris-based singer Felix Rockey unveiled his single ‘Old New Feelings‘ on October 2, 2026. At just 20, Rockey channels influences from the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Michael Jackson, and Earth, Wind & Fire, having first picked up the guitar at age nine. His sound fuses refined pop with vibrant energy, shaped by a French-British background that brings London’s musical edge and a Nordic poetic sensibility. His debut EP ‘Eos‘, recorded independently in 2025 and released on February 13, 2026, saw Rockey penning every lyric and performing each instrument. The collection explores the present with unguarded sincerity, balancing melancholy with luminous melodies and a hopeful outlook. On stage, Rockey delivers with intensity, forging a dynamic connection with both his band and the audience.
‘Old New Feelings‘ emerges as a rock-tinged love song, written over two years ago in the aftermath of a formative heartbreak. For Rockey, it marked a second encounter with love’s intensity. The track navigates the space between nostalgia and romance, voiced through the lens of a young adult seeking connection, freedom, and mutual understanding. Its driving rock pulse and candid lyricism invite listeners to revisit their own moments of happiness and longing. Notably, this is the first recording to feature Rockey’s full live band, each member contributing their parts in studio, lending the song a newfound collective energy. For Rockey, the track stands as a testament to how a second experience of love can bring sharper insight into the nature of attachment.
The music video arrived on 9th October as the result of a spontaneous collaboration with one of Rockey‘s closest friends, a film student who ended up directing it. It was shot in both London and Paris with the London footage underlining the British rock credentials of the song and Rockey‘s own Britishness (scenes of the City of London are used for this), and the Paris footage featuring an actress as his partner serving to illustrate the romantic undercurrent of the song itself. As his first music video it’s a very revealing document of a more accessible, more human side to Rockey‘s art.
