Jamie Irrepressible, with his seven-piece band The Irrepressibles, unveiled another rousing song, ‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’ via Of Naked Design on the 23rd of November. The single follows the release of his latest EP, Self Love & Acceptance. The Manchester-based vocalist and composer started The Irrepressibles back in 2002, cooking up their own distinctive flavor of orchestral pop. The Irrepressibles have since released three critically-acclaimed studio albums which have amassed over three billion streams. He has also collaborated with electronic artists like Röyksopp, Rex The Dog, and Ionalee. The Irrepressibles performed their recent EP, Self Love & Acceptance, to sold-out shows on an intimate tour of the UK’s most beautiful churches and concert halls, including St Mark’s in Edinburgh, London’s St Luke’s, and Oxford’s St Barnabas.

‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’ is a haunting piano ballad that serenades the sorrows of isolation. Jamie’s voice is potent yet delicate, exploring the intimate theme of yearning to find home in a loved one. Strings swell as Jamie’s voice tentatively but bravely sings of hope for the future. ‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’ follows the release of The Irrepressibles’ intimate instrumental piece, ‘For Martin’, written in the wake of the passing of Jamie’s beloved cousin, Martin Williams. The song is available to stream on the IR Symphonic Spotify playlist. All music is written by Jamie Irrepressible (FKA Jamie McDermont).

Jamie Irrepressible divulged: “’Will I Ever Find A Home?’ expresses the longing to find that someone as a gay man or queer person in these times of fleeting affairs and commercialism where the sense of home with someone to love becomes all too elusive.”
